If my people, the Bible says, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chron 7:14).

Image believes that when it comes to pro-life issues, Christians need to be involved in two areas - prayer and action. Action is necessary because Christians cannot sit by where people are in need. Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy (Psalm 82:3, 4).

Prayer is vital because our enemy is not men and women, but spiritual forces of evil who love death. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, the Bible says, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12).

We want to encourage individual churches and individual Christians to become concerned for life issues. We want people to get involved in prayer. Prayer can make a difference. Prayer can change governments. Prayer can change a nation. Prayer can change circumstances in the lives of individuals.

We produce a free bi-monthly prayer letter. Contact us if you would like a copy. We also have a team of people able to be contacted by e-mail to pray for urgent issues. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. But only you can decide to pray.

Image organises a National Day of Prayer about abortion each year on October 27, the anniversary of the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act. Christians are invited to organise prayer events on the day, to pray with friends, or to pray at home. For details of the National Day of Prayer click here.
